Built in the 12th centaury, Malmesbury Abbey in Wilshire has the tomb of Athelstan, an important part of our local history, with the Athelstan museum is also being close by.

A guided tour of the Abbey has been arranged

There will be free time to explore its surroundings and have a bite to eat

Estimated journey time to the Abbey is 2 -2 1/2 hours depending on traffic

Be aware that the Abbey is situated on top of the hill overlooking the town and the coach is unable to get too close to the entrance.
